Funeral cover for myself and my husband, very prompt reply to my online query, had a phone call within minutes! Extremely helpful customer service rep, very detailed and thorough, answered all questions I asked in a simplistic way so very easy to understand. Great value for the cover with extra benefits included, a very nice surprise! Super simple to set up a direct debit while on the phone as well. Very important to us that we were dealing with a NZ owned company also. So...in summary...a new VERY happy customer!

1. Know when to STOP!!! I understand that there are procedures your telecom employee must go through in order to sell the product. However the operator needs to listen to what a customer wants and react, rather than very quickly read a script they have to legally get through, a lot of the script is difficult to take in when you are driving, and at the end you are asked a question "Do you understand", for me it takes a while to grasp things, but if I had answered No the operator would have read the script again. Besides I was sent all the documents and read through them at my own pace, which I understood clearly and reacted to the forms I had to fill in. 2. Know how to pronounce your customers' name. The telecom person asked my name on a number of occasions, of which I repeated to them on a number of occasions, you would think they would listen to how you pronounce your name and take your lead and try and pronounce it correctly. Unfortunately they continued to pronounce my name incorrectly. "Makes me a little upset"!!!!

The product provides peace of mind. Its waiting period is not excessive and bi-weekly payments are capped and will cease after the age of 85. I am interested whether One Choice can sustain this kind of insurance for Kiwis over the next, say, two decades? Any way the whole process over the telephone was easy to follow and the customer services person was patient and helpful.
